Privacy Policy

FollowTrack is a Chrome extension that shows who unfollowed an X (Twitter) account, who doesn't follow back, and how the follower count changes. This policy explains what data the extension and its server handle. Contact: the support email on our Chrome Web Store listing.
The short version
- No sign-in. We never ask for your X password and never act on your X account.
- Your follower history (snapshots, unfollow and follow events) is stored only in your browser.
- No analytics, no tracking cookies, no data sales.
Data stored in your browser
The extension keeps in your browser's local storage: the usernames you track, follower/following snapshots and the changes between them, cached public profiles (name, username, avatar, follower count), your plan and license key, and your answer to the 18+ question. Removing an account in Settings or uninstalling the extension deletes this data.
Data our server processes
| Data | Why | Kept |
|---|---|---|
| A random installation ID created by the extension (not linked to your identity) | Applying plan limits, linking a purchase to your installation | Until you ask us to delete it |
| Usernames you track and when they were last scanned | Scan-frequency limits | Until you ask us to delete it |
| Public follower IDs and public profiles of a tracked account, fetched from an X data provider | Delivering the scan; the same account is fetched at most once per hour for all users | Up to 1 hour |
| Your IP address, as a salted one-way hash | Abuse limits (scans per network per day). The raw IP is not stored. | 90 days |
| Your country, guessed from your browser language | Showing ads that are available in your country | Not stored |
| Ad views and clicks with the installation ID | Ad statistics and partner reporting | For statistics |
| Orders: plan, price, status, Crypto Pay invoice ID, license key | Issuing and extending PRO, restoring a lost key | As required for accounting |
Usage counters (number of scans, API cost) are kept per installation and in total for capacity planning.
Third parties
- twitterapi.io — retrieves public X data (profiles, follower and following lists) for the usernames you enter.
- Supabase (EU, Frankfurt) — hosts our server and database.
- Crypto Pay (@CryptoBot) — processes crypto payments in Telegram. We receive only the payment status and IDs, never wallet keys or card details. Its own privacy policy applies there.
- Advertisers (FREE plan only) — clicking an ad opens the advertiser's site with a click ID; their policies apply there. Ads marked 18+ are shown only after you confirm you are 18 or older.
Chrome Web Store user data policy
The use of information received from the extension complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell user data, do not use it for purposes unrelated to the extension's single purpose, and do not use it to determine creditworthiness.
Your choices
You can stop using the extension at any time by uninstalling it. Server-side records are tied only to a random installation ID and can't identify you by themselves. To have them deleted, email us (include your license key if you have one).
Children
FollowTrack is not directed at children under 13. Sponsored content marked 18+ is shown only to users who confirm they are adults.
Changes
We will update this page and the date above if this policy changes.
